Anybody lookin for a good movie to watch? Try 'Temple Grandin'. Its the true story of a high functioning, incredible autistic girl. I really loved it, but then again, I love anything that has to do with autism. It fascinates me. If I thought I had the patience (or money) to go back to USU, I would want to study behavior and become a behavior specialist. Anyways, the movie won a bounch of emmy awards so I thought Id try it out, and I loved it!
I recently found out I have insulin resistance :( My understanding is my blood sugar levels/ glucose/ I dont know is becoming resistant to the insulin, so my body has to produce MORE insulin to get the job done. Basically I have to take some medicine that constantly makes my stomach upset, eat healthier, and exercise more to prevent my pancreas from just quitin on me in the next 20-30 years, aka diabetes. My mom is diabetic, Chucks dad is diabetic, and I have insulin resistance - our kids are gonna be screwed :)
I already feel like I eat fairly well, I avoid fatty or overly sweet foods, I love fruits and vegtables, so im a little miffed as far as HOW to eat better. Im considering doing jenny craig, or nutrisystem to help me out in that department. Not necessarily to loose weight, but just 'eat better' and not have to worry about if my meal is healthy enough.
As far as exercising more... we bought a treadmill! Im really excited about it. I really do enjoy exercising, I just dont have the time to go to the gym. So im thinkin this will be a good solution for me. I used it today for the first time and I feel great. I love working hard and breakin a sweat.
Im also really excited because I FINALLY got my final projects sent out for my school. I had them done for seriously a month, I just never found the time to get to the post office. I sent it out almost a month ago, so now im just waiting to receive my final grade, my critique, and my certificate of graduation! I already started my next stage for the school, but again, its taking me FOREVER. I just dont have the time.
I found this picture in my Arches 2010 folder. I didnt think much of it when I first went through my pictures from that trip, but I wanted to try some new editing techniques, so I pulled it up and edited it and now im in love with it! I wish I had done it for one of my finals.
I also contacted my favorite photographer here in cache valley to see if she does any internships or mentoring. I chatted with her and we are just gonna do a little session with some models and I think ill get to just pick her brain! Im very excited about this. I LOVE this photographer. I think her work is fantastic, a lot like what I want my work to be like when all is said and done. Check her out. www.casciophoto.blogspot.com
